Introduction on Cannabinoids

Customized cannabinoid products  Newest innovations  High purity and quality

The active substances exclusively found in the plant species Cannabis sativa with subspecies C. sativa, C. indica and C, are called Cannabinoids. ruderalis, possess strong pharmacological actions. They are active in virtually every signal messenger system in the central nervous system, the peripheral nervous system and immune system. In fact, all immune cells are covered with CB2 receptors.

The cannabinoid THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) shows full resemblance, by shape and electronic configuration, to the natural endocannabinoid anandamide (AEA). This fully randomized event occurs from an evolutionary point of view, although not from a visional point of view. By this, both molecules are able to lodge on the recently discovered CB1 and CB2 receptors, residing on all body cells mentioned above. Just like a key into a lock. Both keys fit impeccable into these receptors and so exert actions like decreasing incoming neuronal action potentials.

Endocannabinoids like anandamide (and in extension thereof, THC) are involved in your bodies most important key processes, expressed in even so keywords:

  • Eating
  • Sleeping
  • Forgetting
  • Protecting

It regulates the whole brain-gut axis (pharma target: obesity) and CB1 receptors are recently found on glia-cells in our nervous system and so explains the neuropathic pain relief after administration of a cannabis formulation containing sole THC (tool in pain-management)

Cannabis, depending on the variety or chemotype), contains only THC, CBD (cannabidiol), THCV (tetrahydrocannabivarine), CBC (cannabichromene), and CBG (cannabigerol) in relatively high quantities. All kinds of combinations are sure to exist and are already discovered by us, in particular by our professor Ronald Glas in cooperation with Biosystematics, WUR. Next to oils prepared with cannabinoids, we have also developed other products like creams and vape oils.

The wholesome effects of oils and other products with cannabinoids

Oils and other products based on cannabinoids from cannabis (Cannabis sativa) are anti-inflammatory and have inhibitory effects on the proliferation of a number of tumorigenic cell lines, some of which are mediated via cannabinoid receptors. Cannabinoid (CB) receptors are present in human skin and anandamide, an endogenous CB receptor ligand inhibits epidermal keratinocyte differentiation. Do you have further questions?
